Copper Cathodes

Copper cathode is the primary raw material input for the production of copper rod for the wire and cable industry. Copper is also used in the production of brass, copper tube, copper sheet products, and found in over 450 alloys.

Electrolytic Copper Cathode LME grade “A” as per Standard ASTM-B115

Size                : Circa (Length: 1000 mm, Width: 1000 mm, Thickness: 5-20 mm)

Packing        : In bundles of  about 1900 to 2500 kg consisting 17 +/-3 sheets with                                    140 kg +/-10 each piece.

 

Quality Grade A copper must conform to the chemical composition of one of the following standards:
BS EN 1978:2022 – Cu-CATH-1
GB/T 467-2010 – Cu-CATH-1
ASTM B115-10 (2021) – cathode Grade 1

  • 1) (As + Cd + Cr + Mn + P + Sb) maximum 0.0015%
    2) (Bi + Se + Te) maximum 0.0003%, of which (Se + Te) maximum 0.00030%
    3) (Co + Fe + Ni + Si + Sn + Zn) maximum 0.0020%
    4) The Sulphur content shall be determined on a cast sample
